Death of Cynthia Jean Loll Borkowski

Cynthia Loll Borkowski

FLBHS Class of 1991

Cynthia Jean Loll Borkowski, age 40 and resident of Erie, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Born April 14, 1973 in Erie, she was the beloved daughter of Don and Cheryl Loll of Waterford, and the mother of Taylor Lynn Borkowski of Griffen, Ga. She was a 1991 graduate of Fort LeBoeuf High School and she loved crafting and creating art.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia is survived by her former husband, David Borkowski of Griffen, Ga.; her daughter, Taylor Lynn Borkowski; a brother, James Raymond Loll and a sister, Dawn Michelle Karageorgis, both of Erie; and several nieces and nephews.

Cynthia's greatest joy was watching her daughter grow into the talented young artist that she is today, and was amazed by the sheer beauty each piece contained with the rich detail and patience they required. Without a doubt, we know Cindy will continue to watch over her daughter in the years to come.

Visiting hours will be at the Van Matre Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 9:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the family.

Status of Coach Carm Bonito

The following was received from Nancy Austin, WHS Class of 1955:

Alice called me this morning. Carm is in Springhill Therapeutic division. He is doing well and it sounds like he is learning things all over again. Patty and Jimmy take her in everyday and they spend time in an area that is really nice. He is walking some, but always with a nurse behind to make sure he doesn't fall. She is happy with the progress that he is making. He came home from hospital but needed extra care to get him really stable again, so that was the move to Springhill. At the age of 90 she feels that he is doing well.

Here is address for him:

The following was received from Bea Wylie who received it from her sister, Jo Anne:

I wanted to give everyone an update on the plans for the memorial service for Buck.

The memorial sevice will be Saturday, July 20th, at the American Legion Post 105 in North East, PA. The service will start at 10:00 a.m. I am hoping to find a pastor to talk first, but haven't so far. It would be wonderful for our pastor from Greenville to be there but that won't be possible.

After that, we will spend time hearing from anyone that wishes to share some memories of Buck. Please let me know if you wish to speak so I can plan accordingly ... I love hearing stories about Buck!

We will then go to the N.E. cemetery for the military service, then back to the Legion for a light snack and refreshments.

I look forward to seeing all who may attend.

Love,
Jo Anne
